Twitter can be a great sounding board for a club to find out exactly what their fans are thinking, with several senior figures at a number of clubs already admitting they use it as a crude form of market research. But more often than not, clubs will throw out seemingly harmless engagement posts in order to make sure their supporters can feel closer to their chosen institution. Some like it, some don't, but more often than not these little exercises in reaching out can backfire, as we've seen time and again when fans decide they want a laugh and a joke. With only 140 characters to make a point, when these things go wrong the replies can be pretty brutal and when players are on social media themselves there can be a real danger that they'll see it themselves.Sometimes fans of rival clubs can take over the comments and replies, as Tottenham fans did when Arsenal tried to hold a Q&A for Jack Wilshere a number of years ago, with the majority of the questions taking a hilarious turn away from footballing matters. However, their latest attempt had an unwitting target, as they posed an innocent question to the fans and got an answer that they likely weren't expecting.Posing the question: 'When everyone’s fit, what’s your preferred midfield partnership?' the fans didn't so much confirm who they wanted, but rather gave an overwhelming response as to who they didn't want.Francis Coquelin has endured a mixed career at Arsenal, and at one point his performances had made him a crucial member of the squad, but judging by some of the responses below, it would seem as though he's not so welcome at the Emirates anymore.

Ouch, he's clearly not popular anymore then.

The 25-year-old has featured 25 times for the Gunners across all competitions so far this season, but has struggled to impose himself in the same way he did last term.

And what's more, is that in a total of 134 games for the club he is still yet to find the back of the net, not that that entirely matters given his position.

But he has suffered an enormous fall from grace this term, and you have to wonder how much longer he has at the club.
