Daniel Cormier's weigh-in ahead of Saturday's UFC 210 event in Buffalo, New York, provided plenty of drama, as he initially came in at 206.2 pounds - 1.2 pounds above the maximum allowed weight for a light heavyweight fight. However, in the span of three minutes, Cormier tried again and, this time, hit the 205 mark exactly.

Though the current light heavyweight champion believes that a faulty scale was to blame for the fact that he initially missed weight, others aren't exactly buying that explanation.

For example, Jon Jones, one of Cormier's biggest rivals, was on hand Friday in Buffalo and didn't like what he saw during Cormier's weigh-in attempt.

According to MMAFighting.com, Jones said it's clear that Cormier was trying to use the towel that was being held in front of him to balance out his weight. Jones called it a dirty trick that he can't believe officials let happen:

“The crazy thing is that it was allowed to happen,” Jones said. “I would imagine there has to be some type of commission or something to go back and see this blatant foul play and address it. Nobody addressed it. They just basically got away with one of the dirtiest things I’ve seen in sports.”

Jones was just getting started, though, and continued to call out Cormier for what he felt was a dirty trick to cheat his way to the 205-pound target.

Jones explained that it was obvious what Cormier was doing and that something should have been done to stop him from cheating:

“That was absolutely nuts,” Jones said. “I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. I watched the guy. If you focus on his hands, you can see him looking down and like, balancing out his weight just right to make 205. What a clever trick. Very dishonest of him.”

Ironically, it likely wouldn't have mattered if Cormier couldn't make weight the second time, as New York rules for title fights stipulate that he would have had two additional hours to cut weight in order to make it to 205 pounds.

That wouldn't have stopped Jones from sounding off, though, as he and Cormier have a long history. Jones handed Cormier his only professional MMA loss at UFC 182 in January of 2015.

The rematch has been scheduled several times, but Jones has had trouble staying eligible to fight (he is currently suspended until at least July 9 because of a doping violation) and Cormier had to withdraw from a scheduled bout against Jones once due to injury.

At 38 years old, Cormier likely doesn't have many fights left in him, but if he ever does get a rematch with Jones, he'll certainly remember the comments about Friday's weigh-in and use them as extra motivation.
