Midfielders Sam Gwynne and Craig Jones have penned new contracts with Hereford while defenders Kris Taylor and Richard Rose are also currently in the process of agreeing deals.

Only two members of Hereford`s squad, Toumani Diagouraga and Matt Done, remained under contract at the end of the season but that number is slowly starting to increase as manager John Trewick explores his options.

Chairman and director of football Graham Turner told the club`s official website: "We`ve signed a couple of lads who have just left college, we`ve re-signed Craig Jones who we think has got some potential and Sam Gwynne. It`s nice, there`s four local lads for us."

Trewick, who has also brought in youngsters Tyler Weir and Joel Edwards, is waiting to hear back from other unnamed Bulls players having offered several terms for next season.

Turner added: "I think John (Trewick) has spoken to all of the players from last season and contract offers have been made to several of them. John tells me that so far Kris Taylor and Richard Rose have indicated they would like to re-sign and are way down the road with that.

"But it`s like everything else at this stage of the season - it`s wait and see. There`s a whole list of players we`re currently trawling through, making enquiries about and talking to, and we`ll see what comes in."
