There's no denying that Arsenal have been struggling this season. They haven't reached the heights expected in the Premier League this season, and are in danger of missing out on a top-four spot that would guarantee Champions League football next season.

In that competition, they suffered a 10-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich last month, meaning the wait for a long overdue European Cup may go on for at least another two years.

The Gunners have been fairly uninspired on the pitch, losing against West Brom, Liverpool and Watford already in 2017.

Most have suggested this poor form is down to Arsene Wenger. The clubs fans are split between those who want him to leave Arsenal at the end of this season and those that want him to stay.

It appears the split has also reached the players on the pitch too. Some of the first team look uninterested in playing for Wenger, while of course there are others who give their all for the club each week.

Right-back Hector Bellerin has revealed that there is still one player who continues to push his teammates to 100 per cent in each training session.

That man is Alexis Sanchez.

"Sometimes he's [Sanchez] the first one to tell other players when we're not giving 100 per cent", Bellerin told Arsenal Player, as per the Mirror

"He's a leader, we have loads of leaders in the dressing room but he's the first one to get frustrated."

The Chilean's future though is still undecided. There has been a lot of speculation recently that suggests Sanchez is not going to sign a new contract at Arsenal. His current deal runs out at the end of next season.

This means that the club either have to tie him down to a new contract as soon as possible - which is what they want to do or sell him this summer before risking losing him on a free transfer in 2018.

The 28-year-old has scored 18 goals in 27 league appearances for Arsenal this season, as well as making nine assists. There is no doubt that he's their best player, and losing Sanchez would put the Gunners in a tough position starting next season.

However, the winger has every right to be frustrated with the way his team has performed this term, and a player of his quality must have aspirations to play Champions League football at least, if not challenging for trophies.
