The WWE's Superstar Shakeup is underway after the first roster announcement was made hours ahead of Monday night RAW.The event promises to give WWE fans two nights of twists and turns as both RAW and SmackDown re-tool their rosters for a fresh year of sports entertainment. It was unclear how or when the first shakeup would be announced, but the WWE decided to go through social media to break the seal. The first change involves one of the fresher faces to the main rosters making a move from SmackDown to RAW. Apollo Crews is on his way to raw. He arrived as any employee looking at a "big" change in their career typically does, bright-eyes and bushy-tailed. Mike Rome was live backstage ahead of RAW and had Crews on hand for a quick on-camera interview.Crews, an NXT-alum, was excited about the new opportunity ahead for him."I feel great. This is awesome. Red side over here," a beaming Crews said."My time at SmackDown, I enjoyed it. I loved it. I loved working with Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, however, I'm on the red side now. I'm on RAW now. What's better than working for a hall of famer, and my personal favorite, Kurt Angle?"Here's the announcement, courtesy of WWE:

It's hardly the kind of splash the growing anticipation warrants, but it's an interesting move nonetheless. Getting Crews onto a show with Triple H's hands all over it might be best. HHH's work with NXT should help integrate Crews on RAW.

He was mostly buried on SmackDown, so clearly a change of scenery isn't going to hurt him. If nothing else, it's the best thing possible for him. It will be interesting to hear the other side of this story as well.

RAW general manager Angle will hopefully give an explanation as to what the move was about, and it's worth noting Crews made it a point to call Kurt his all-time favorite.

It's hard to see where he fits in the bigger picture until all of the cards are laid out, but he joins a roster with more-and-more NXT influence. It's a great chance for him to prove himself in the ring with a fresh slate even if it's as an early-card performer.

The Superstar Shakeup is going to take place over two days and the WWE has kept things quiet on just how much will be changing between the two brands. The biggest rumored change is AJ Styles to RAW, but outside of that everything seems to be on the table.
