Sullivan expects 10 signings

Birmingham plc chairman David Sullivan has told Blues fans to expect "up to 10 new signings" before the start of the 2009/10 season.

City secured automatic promotion straight back to the Premier League with a last-day win at Reading and completed the permanent signing of on-loan defender Stephen Carr earlier this week.

"I'm delighted Stephen has signed. He had a tremendous end to the season and more than played his part in us reaching our goal of returning to the Premier League," Sullivan told the club's official website.

"He is the first of up to 10 expected signings that this club will make to enhance the squad.

"We are ambitious and want to add quality. Supporters can expect more new faces over the coming weeks."
