The second night of the superstar shake up brought about a lot of changes for Smackdown Live with no less than 10 new names announced for the show.

With 10 superstars making the move from RAW to Smackdown, the blue brand had a lot to celebrate.

A return to something old

As for one Smackdown superstar however, he faces a new challenge as Aiden English - a former member of the Vaudevillains will now seemingly enter the singles division.

English's former tag team partner Simon Gotch was released by WWE last week meaning that the superstar who has been nothing other than a tag team competitor must now go it alone.

He did however show signs of promise in his first appearance on Smackdown as he seemingly returned to a gimmick he once used on NXT.

During his early days in NXT, English would sing his way to the ring and be known as the Drama King - something it appears he wants to do again.

He would sing for the crowd at Smackdown tonight before being confronted by the Perfect 10 Tye Dillinger for a one on one match.

Dillinger would win the match - his second in two weeks since arriving on Smackdown, but the crowd would certainly react to English's change of style.

If he is able to replicate what he brought to NXT during his previous use of the gimmick, then this is certainly a make or break time for English within the WWE.

English's former NXT gimmick was certainly entertaining within Full Sail University, but many successful gimmicks from NXT don't translate well to the main roster.

Whilst big names like Finn Balor, Enzo and Cass and Bayley have all had big success on the main roster with the same gimmicks, the list of superstars whose moves didn't go well is equally as long.

Bo Dallas, Adam Rose and Apollo Crews have all moved up form NXT but failed to find the success they had hoped for on the main roster.

New faces on Tuesdays

A long list of WWE talent made the move over to Tuesday Night Smackdown as a result of superstar shake up.

Rusev, Charlotte, United States Champion Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn certainly top the list, however valuable mid level superstars such as Jinder Mahaal, the Shining Stars, Sin Cara and Tamina also arrived on the blue brand.

Two names however were advertised during video promotions with the tagline 'coming soon'.

Teasing in- ring performances by Lana and also the arrival of the New Day on Smackdown Live, things could be about to get a lot more interesting in the land of opportunity.
