Tony Mowbray is confident West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans will be fit for the start of pre-season training in early July.
Dorrans missed the conclusion of the campaign with a broken metatarsal which was confirmed after a second scan.
"Dorrans will be fit for the start of pre-season. He has been to see a specialist," said Mowbray.
"He is confident that, if we just leave things alone, it (the metatarsal) will heel in a few weeks."
The former Livingston player has been one of the few plus points in a disappointing season after breaking into the squad on a regular basis after Christmas.
He is expected to have a key part to play in Albion's attempt to regain their top flight status at the first attempt.
The West Brom boss wants his side to end the season on a winning note at Blackburn on Sunday - and finish ahead of his former club Middlesbrough who could also be relegated.
Mowbray said: "We still want to go to Blackburn and win the game. We will continue to do things properly and be as positive as we can.
"It would be nice to try and overhaul Middlesbrough and not finish bottom of the table.
"We will prepare properly and be as professional as we can for Sunday."
