The WWE has been without Stephanie McMahon since WrestleMania 33, which turned out to be a tough day for the McMahon-Helmsley clan.

Not only did Triple H lose to his former pupil in Seth Rollins in a highly-anticipated match, Stephanie took a surprising bump from the apron through a table down on the mat. The spot would ultimately go on to cost HHH the match, with Rollins capitalizing by hitting him with a pedigree.

It's unclear when Stephanie will return on-screen to RAW, but the WWE has unleashed Kurt Angle as general manger to serve as their authority figure for the time being. While making way for Angle may have been one reason for it, it appears there's another for McMahon taking time away.

The WWE has kept Stephanie off-screen to help sell that she was injured after going through the table, but the real reason she took time off was to enjoy a family vacation lined up at Turks & Caicos Beaches Resort in the Carribean, reports Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline

That makes plenty of sense across the board. Stephanie's an integral piece of the WWE's off-screen upper management while also serving as an on-screen personality. Taking some time off for some rest and relaxation makes sense post-WrestleMania.

It allowed them to transition to Angle without anything hindering him, lines up with what happened on-screen and there's plenty going on in the WWE Universe to make up for both her and Triple H falling back from the RAW spotlight for the time being.

How she and Triple H return will also be an interesting angle for the WWE to toy with, and Seth Rollins has already alluded to being ready for the backlash he expects from the duo once they're back in the fold.

The bubbling feud between Rollins and The Game came to a temporary halt, though many expect Seth to turn his attention to Samoa Joe next. Joe injured Rollins in the WrestleMania lead-up and also attacked Rollins last RAW, broken up (mostly unsuccessfully) by Angle.

RAW's ratings have been just fine without Stephanie or The King of Kings, hitting a 2017-high in the post-WrestleMania edition and coming close to it during the first night of the Superstar Shakeup. Fan intrigue is higher than it was heading into The Grandest Stage of them All.

With the shuffling of the roster, Angle's arrival and a fresh slate after WrestleMania, RAW should have some much-needed momentum going forward, and will be in for a jolt once the power couple is back in action.
