Luke Shaw's career at Manchester United appears to be back on track - for now - following crunch talks with Jose Mourinho.Since returning from his double leg break against PSV two years ago, Shaw has featured very rarely under the Portuguese and come under intense criticism for his lack of commitment."It is difficult for him (Shaw) to be on the bench," Mourinho said earlier this month. "I cannot compare him with Ashley Young, with Matteo Darmian, with Daley Blind."I cannot compare the way he trains, the way he commits, the focus, the ambition. I cannot compare. He is a long way behind."Shaw's negative behaviour was even noticed by United's players, with two of the Englishman's teammates reportedly saying he hadn't been helping himself in training. But there's been a change in his attitude recently. Shaw has played in both of United's last two league games - against Everton and Sunderland - and impressed. And while Mourinho claims Shaw's improved performances were because of him, it would appear something has finally clicked.Shaw, after being publicly slammed by Mourinho, held a meeting with 54-year-old last week to seek advice and ask what must do to get back into the team.In an interview with Sky Sports (see below), he revealed exactly what he said to United's manager to conclude the clear-the-air talks."The criticism was very hard but I've had it before," Shaw said, "but this time around I dealt with it better. I had a really good chat with him and I totally agree with him - I will do whatever he wants.

"At the end of my meeting with the manager I said: 'I'm going to prove you wrong'. I believe and want to do that, not just for myself but for the fans that have been behind me.

"I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I want to push for the best from me. I've always been a hard worker but maybe, if I look back, maybe I wasn't working as hard as he likes.

"We had a really good talk and he discussed what he wanted from me and even in a week-and-a-half I've seen a massive change in myself, not just on the pitch but off it as well.

"Now it's my time to fight until the end of the season and show the boss what I can bring to help his team."
