Roman Reigns was viciously attacked by Braun Strowman during RAW's Superstar Shakeup, ending when Strowman flipped over an ambulance Reigns was within.

The WWE has given an update on Reigns status after the incident, reporting that Roman suffered cracked ribs, internal injuries and a separated shoulder after being tossed around like a test dummy.

The WWE has been playing up the attack, and it'd make sense that Reigns would have to suffer some sort of injury after literally being launched off a loading dock while strapped to a stretcher. With that in mind, it seems Reigns came out on the other end in pretty good shape.

So good, in fact, that he'll be wrestling in the WWE's live events over the weekend, according to F4WOnline. The severity of injuries and fact they're still letting him work means Reigns definitely won't be off-screen for very long.

That makes sense, especially considering there's been no Reigns vs. Strowman match officially announced for RAW's Payback pay-per-view this month yet. The two are being pushed as the big battle happening on the road to getting a shot at Brock Lesnar.

Reigns, who was widely rumored to be one of the big shakeup moves, remained on RAW. The WWE is focused on a triangle feud featuring Reigns, Strowman and Lesnar, and removing Roman from the equation ultimately proved to be something they were unwilling to do.

The alternative would be moving the entire program over to SmackDown Live, which is one of the reasons WWE decided to keep it all on RAW. Instead, they kept two of their biggest stars in Reigns and AJ Styles on their current shows to provide some stability going forward.

Strowman has been attacking Reigns for weeks now, and it's only a matter of time until The Big Dog exacts some revenge. Roman's focus on The Undertaker through WrestleMania has left Strowman as a loose end until now.

Braun also inserted himself into the Lesnar conversation after confronting Brock in the post-WrestleMania RAW. The plans heading into WrestleMania 33 were for Lesnar and Reigns to have a showdown as WrestleMania 34's main event, and things continue heading that direction.

The question then becomes how does the WWE keep a Reigns-Lesnar cat-and-mouse game fresh for the next 12 months? The answer, for the time being, appears to be by having Strowman blindside Roman over and over.

If you haven't seen Braun tossing Reigns around before flipping the ambulance over — the video already has 5.7 million views — then here you go:

All that and some minor bumps and bruises, along with the ability to wrestle over the weekend? Reigns truly is The Big Dog.
