The Indiana Pacers were a shot away from causing an upset and stealing home court advantage in game one of their first-round playoff encounter with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The opportunity fell to C.J. Miles but he failed to connect with the final shot in the dying seconds of the game.

The ball ended up in the hands of Miles after the Cavs decided to double-team the red-hot Paul George and forced him to pass it up to an open teammate.

Miles, however, was quickly closed out on and after a quick dribble, he forced up a shot that bounced off the rim and let the Cavaliers off the hook after they faltered in the second half.

Despite being forced to pass the ball after a double team by J.R. Smith and LeBron James, George was upset after the game that the last shot didn't fall to him.

"I talked to CJ about it," George said. "In situations like that, I gotta get the last shot. I was asking for it. CJ took it upon himself."

PG13 had the hot hand throughout the game and almost single-handedly kept the Pacers in the game as Cleveland threatened to run away with it on multiple occasions.

He wanted Miles to immediately throw the ball back to him so he could take the responsibility upon himself to try and nail the game-winning shot.

"Obviously, we wanted to get the ball to Paul to be able to get the shot to win the game," Miles said. "I got the ball at four [seconds], so I had to take it myself. I got a good shot. I just didn't make it."

George added: "I'm confident in all my guys taking shots -- that's not the issue. But in that situation, I've gotta get that."

The All-Star small forward enjoyed another terrific duel with James and ended the contest with a team-high 29 points as the duo picked up where they left off from their incredible double-overtime battle in the regular season just weeks ago.

However, Indiana must not be too disheartened by the outcome as they once again showed that they can compete with the Cavs and should be confident about making this a competitive series.

With a superstar like George in their ranks, the Pacers have a real chance of causing an upset if they continue to play the way they are currently.

They will have another opportunity to steal home court advantage in game two on Monday night.
