It was hard not to feel pleased for Isco on Saturday afternoon. Having struggled to claim a regular spot in Real Madrid's starting XI the playmaker popped up with two crucial goals to help Zinedine Zidane's men come from behind to beat Sporting Gijon. The win now keeps Los Blancos with one hand on the La Liga title as they remain three points ahead of arch rivals Barcelona with a game in hand.Isco was brought into the starting line up to allow star players Crisitano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema some extra time to recover ahead of a huge week that sees them take on Bayern Munich on Tuesday before the Clasico with Barca next weekend, and Zidane's gamble payed off big time. The diminutive playmaker netted himself two goals, and put in the kind of performance that has set tongues wagging all over Europe at the prospect of landing his signature. And having got himself on the scoresheet, the 24-year-old appeared to debut a new goal celebration, too, sticking his tongue out and making what looked to be the classic heavy metal devil horns with his hands. Is Isco a secret metalhead we wonder? Well, no, the answer is actually far more heartwarming than that and he deserves top respect for the gesture. The symbol was actually intended for one special Real Madrid fan watching from home. Last week the player met a young girl at an autograph signing in the capital. The girl, who was there with her deaf parents, explained how she speaks for them when they're out in public and the hand gesture had a very particular meaning.

It turns out that the symbol actually means "I love you" in Spanish sign language and after explaining what it meant, the player posed for photographs with the girl and her mother while making the hand gesture.

She asked him if he would celebrate his next goal with the gesture, though she probably had no idea that he would find the net so soon!

It's heartwarming to see, that despite continued accusations levelled against players that they are detached from regular fans more than ever, something like this can go a long way to restoring the bond between footballers and fans.

One simple gesture is all it took and it highlights just what a classy guy Isco is. Whether he'll see it as a lucky charm and continue doing it remains to be seen, but he's certainly made one fan's day by doing it just the once.
