Wizards 114, Hawks 107; Washington leads series 1-0

Trailing by three going into halftime, the Wizards came out firing in the third, outscoring Atlanta 38-28. Both teams scored 31 in the final quarter in the high-paced, high-scoring battle. The opposing point guards put forth excellent efforts in this one. John Wall (32/4/14) was virtually unstoppable for Washington, while Dennis Schroder (25/3/9) shot 8-for-16 and only had two turnovers in the loss.

Bulls 106, Celtics 102; Chicago leads series 1-0

Just one day after the tragic loss of his sister, Isaiah Thomas (33/5/6) turned in a typical performance, but the rest of his teammates failed to complement him, as just Al Horford (19/7/8) and Avery Bradley (14/2/3) scored in double-figures. Jimmy Butler (30/9/3) went 9-for-19 shooting while guiding his eighth seeded Bulls to victory on the road.

Warriors 121, Trail Blazers 109; Golden State leads series 1-0

This game was tied at 88 going into the fourth quarter. Damian Lillard (34/5/3) and C.J. McCollum (41/8/1) were the focal points on offense for Portland and combined to shoot 28-for-54 from the field for 75 of their team’s 109 points. However, the foursome of Kevin Durant (32/10/2), Steph Curry (29/5/4), Draymond Green (19/12/9) and Klay Thompson (15/3/2) was too much for the Blazers to handle down the stretch. The Warriors opened up the fourth quarter with a 15-2 run to pull away.

Rockets 118, Thunder 87; Houston leads series 1-0

In the battle of James Harden (37/7/9) vs Russell Westbrook (22/11/7), Harden was clearly the victor. Not only did the Rockets win, but he went 13-for-28 shooting compared to Brodie’s 6-for-23 display. Shockingly, Houston outscored OKC 59-33 in the second half and turned a close game into a blowout. Patrick Beverley (21/10/3) had a playoff career-high in points, going 8-for-13 shooting as the Rockets’ x-factor.
