The playoff success for LeBron James has been well documented, as he has qualified for the NBA Finals a ridiculous six straight times. But while his dominance in the playoffs has been impressive in every round, LeBron has been most impressive in the waning days of April - right when the playoffs get started.Nobody messes with James in the first round of the NBA playoffs.James is proving that again - albeit not as impressively - this April against the Indiana Pacers.LeBron and his Cleveland Cavaliers are up 2-0 as the series heads back to Indianapolis for Game 3.The games were close in Cleveland but they continued a trend of LeBron coming up big in the first round.

Those are impressive numbers against any opponents, and the 11-0 mark in the first round will turn to 12 in a few short days. Although LeBron is always on a high-seeded team, those are against other NBA playoff teams, many who spent the stretch run of the regular season scratching a clawing just to get to the playoffs.

In addition to this year's two games against Indiana, the 19-game winning streak in the first round also includes a 4-0 sweep last season against eighth-seeded Detroit, with those games a lot like this year's Indiana series in that they were close ones.

In 2015, LeBron and the second-seeded Cavaliers swept the Boston Celtics in four games in a postseason that would end in a NBA finals loss to the Golden State Warriors.

As a member of the Miami Heat, LeBron was just as impressive while dispatching lesser foes to start the playoffs.

In 2014, the Heat ambushed Al Jefferson and the Charlotte Bobcats 4-0 in the first round en route to a Finals loss to the San Antonio Spurs in LeBron's last year in South Beach.

LeBron's last title season in Miami was 2013, and in that year, the top-seeded Heat smashed the Milwaukee Bucks 4-0 in the first round.

To find the last first-round playoff loss for LeBron James, you have to climb back to Game 4 of the 2012 first round when Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks topped the Heat 89-87 at Madison Square Garden on May 6, 2012.

Melo had 41 points and Amar'e Stoudemire added 20 points and 10 rebounds. Interestingly enough, J.R. Smith played 35 minutes off the bench for the Knicks against his famous future Cleveland teammate.

The Knicks did return to the playoffs the next season and even advanced to the second round after topping the Celtics in round one. Since then, nothing for New York.

But James has been trudging on, saving his legs for long playoff runs with first-round dominance unmatched by any of his peers.

The Pacers could certainly sneak a win at home this week, but the numbers say you shouldn't bet on it.
