Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury set Twitter alight as they exchanged heated blows on the social media site this afternoon. It all started when Fury called Joshua a “poor man’s Frank Bruno,” along with four crying-with-laughter emojis.Joshua, 27, doesn’t usually engage in spats but he took offence to Fury’s tweet, responding by saying: “Typical Tyson Fury always talking BS around fight time. Same offer as last time. x2 ringside tickets, don't bring a plus one - it's for your fat ass.”Joshua is weeks away from the biggest fight of his career, against Wladimir Klitschko at the O2 Arena on April 29, but instead of waging war with the Ukrainian, he’s replying to Fury’s shots.Quite bizarre, but it’s made for great entertainment so we’re not complaining.Of course, it’s logical to now think that a fight between Joshua and Fury could be in the pipeline after AJ takes on Klitschko.

The row continued

Their spat didn’t end there. Fury, clearly happy that his attempt to trigger a response from Joshua had worked, labelled the 2012 Olympic gold medallist a “paper chinned weightlifting rudeboy wannabe badman.”

AJ then replied by blaming Fury for being the reason they’re yet to fight.

Twitter reacts

Joshua said: “Shut up and give me a date when you'll be back! YOU'RE the only reason we haven't had a fight yet! Be about what u say. I ain't going nowhere.”

Fury continued to attack Joshua and Hearn

That was the end of it for Joshua. But Fury continued his tirade by taking shots at the 18-0 boxer and promoter Eddie Hearn.

The Gypsy King wrote: “You shouldn't throw stones when you live in a glass house, deal with b****ko first then I'll give you a boxing lesson, I promise. Good luck chump.

“I’m that confident I can smash Anthony Joshua when we fight. I’ll do the winner takes all.

“Eddie Hearn is a b***h as well. Two saps together.”

The sooner Fury gets back to boxing shape, the better. He won’t be short of suitors if he does return - he’s upset enough people.
