For years now, clubs and their manufacturers have been trying to come up with fresh ideas for kits every single year, and they always seem to manage it.

Liverpool's kit was leaked on Twitter recently and showed a Netherlands-esque orange third kit that looked a slick as it did bright.

Of course, the business end of the season is always prime time for new clubs to start flaunting their new kits as fans get ready to splash the cash and get their side's new threads before the start of the new campaign.

It has become common place for a club to showcase their new strip on the final day of the league season to give fans a taster.

Well, the current trend is for Twitter to spoil the clubs' fun and leak them to the public, and Manchester United have become the latest victim.

'Footy Headlines' has a real knack for uncovering these kits and after showcasing a new home shirt earlier this month - with a button-up design that sports Adidas stripes along the collar bone - they have now revealed that United's away kit will be black.

Not only that, but it will feature a subtle pattern that is very similar to one of their blue away kits in the 1990s.

However, it is the third kit that has got people talking and we must say it is very impressive indeed.

According to a Spanish Twitter account that translates to 'England football' shows a grey kit (don't tell Fergie) with three players and what appears to be Old Trafford all in black at the bottom of the shirt.

The three players are Dennis Law, Bobby Charlton and George Best and the club are paying homage to three of their best players ever. That is definitely cool.

Many of you might remember all of the Nike kits from the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004 that were essentially the same, just different colours.

It will be interesting to see if Adidas continue this trend with other teams they create for - like Chelsea, AC Milan and Real Madrid - and line their kits with icons from yesteryear.

This could prove to be very, very popular with the fans and we for one like it.
