It just wasn't meant to be for Barcelona last night. Having made their way into the quarter-finals by beating Paris Saint Germain by the most extraordinary circumstances in the last round, it appears as though that was all for nothing now after failing to put in a repeat performance against Juventus. The Italians did all the damage in the first leg with a convincing 3-0 victory, and the Catalans just couldn't break down the visitors' stubborn defence during the return leg at the Nou Camp.Barca had their chances to swing things back in their favour on the night, but were unable to convert the chances that came their way and the night ended in tears for Neymar, who stole the headlines after the final whistle. But during the game, he picked himself up a booking that would have seen him ruled out of the semi-final had they got there by letting his frustrations get the better of him. We've all been there. The game isn't going your way and someone on the opposing side clatters into your smallest player so you take matters into your own hands by dishing out some martial law to even things up.Towards the end of the first half, Lionel Messi burst forward to chase down a high second ball but was caught out by a robust challenge from Juve playmaker Miralem Pjanic, who sent the Argentine crashing to the floor. The referee blew for a foul but before the ball had even bounced Neymar flub himself into the Bosnian in a similar manner and left Pjanic writhing on the floor as well. The clash left Messi's face in quite a state, giving him a nasty looking gash on his cheek which later swelled up, and it was clear Neymar wasn't going to have anyone treat his mate that way. See for yourself below. However, his dhow of misplaced camaraderie didn't get the full bloodied response that it might have done in England, as fans took to social media to criticise the Brazil international for not being able to keep control of his emotions. The resulting yellow card will now mean that he'll miss the first group game of next season's competition. He was lucky to get away with not picking up a yellow earlier in the game, and his tears at the final whistle showed just what a frustrating night it had been for him.

You can call him silly but you can't say he's not committed.
