Juventus celebrated their passage to the semi-finals of the Champions League in classic fashion by sitting down together for a team meal.

It's moments like these where teams can early bond and after shutting out a Barcelona side with perhaps the deadliest attack in world football is as good a reason as any to get together and marvel at what they'd just accomplished.

Footballers are usually put on a strict diet. Their bodies are temples that need the right fuel in order to be able to perform at an optimum level.

But it seems that nobody gave that memo to Gonzalo Higuain, who appeared to be eating a plate of chicken and chips during the meal.

Juve forward Paulo Dybala posted a picture to Instagram showing the team tucking into dinner together after the game, and fans were quick to notice a big ol' plate of greasy goodness slashed across his plate with a big dollop of ketchup.

Not that there's much wrong with that, chicken provides a good source of protein, but the problem lies in the fact that the 29-year-old was put on a diet following his £75million move to Turin last summer.

The former Real Madrid frontman has often been the butt of many jokes because of his weight and it seems that coach Max Allegri doesn't share the same opinion over dietary restrictions as Antonio Conte did.

Conte had previously banned pizza, fizzy drinks and brown sauce from his cafeteria menu, and while chicken was available, chips were most certainly on the banned list.

But with those rules now being imposed at Chelsea, Higuain tucked in with a reckless abandon and stuff himself until his heart's content.

But fans, obviously, found this utterly hilarious as his weight has been the subject of much debate both online as well as in the tabloids.

Certainly, some pictures of him in a tight football short can show that he doesn't exactly have the physique of an elite athlete, but while he's banging in the goals he can get away with it.

It must be said, though, that he isn't the only one that's tucked into the greasy treat, but with his weight problems he's just asking for trouble.
