The WWE has kept a mostly-tight lid on an incredibly controversial off-camera situation, but their decision on the star it involves going forward may be decided on.

Paige has been absent from the WWE Universe for quite some time, not appearing for nearly a year after controversies emerged over the past year. Two wellness suspensions, a neck injury and surgery and a hacked phone scandal could add up to a bad outcome for her.

The WWE hasn't made anything official, but Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the company has "no plans" on using Paige once she recovers from her neck surgery. The reason, Meltzer notes, is "everything that's happened."

Paige has not been released from her contract, though, so a change of plans is still very much a possibility from the WWE. There are significant roadblocks now, though. Individually the incidents involving Paige could be passable, but put together it paints an unflattering picture of the Diva.

Meltzer notes that there's still a chance that she makes a WWE comeback in large part because of the movie The Rock's production company is making about her famous wrestling family. Her future with the WWE seems murky at best, but that could be a life jacket.

Things may have hit a breaking point when her fiance Alberto Del Rio recently went on two drunken and profanity-filled rants. Paige is seen in the video, which was put on Periscope and now survives on YouTube. In it, Alberto is particularly venomous toward Triple H.

The wellness suspensions are also important to consider in the equation. Getting hit twice for violating company policy is no small infraction, and the WWE has been proactive in keeping the health of their talent a top priority.

Paige has responded to the second suspension by claiming she was taking prescription medication to help with her neck injury, but the WWE went on record stating it wasn't a prescription medicine but an illegal substance that was detected in their test.

Paige was one of the top Divas prior to her fall from grace, capturing the WWE Divas title twice. She was also the first NXT Women's champion in 2013 and comes from a family that breathes professional wrestling.

It's been a long time since Paige has been in a WWE ring, never even making a single RAW appearance following the brands splitting. The women's division has rolled on without her, and it sounds like the WWE may be considering making that permanent.
