It seems like Conor McGregor’s aggressive pursuit of a super fight against Floyd Mayweather has rubbed off on fighters from both disciplines.Since then, we’ve had Roy Jones Jr call out Anderson Silva once again while current light heavyweight star Jimi Manuwa called out David Haye to fight on the potential Mayweather and McGregor undercard.
BOXING VS. MMA
There hasn’t been any confirmation on that front, yet it hasn’t stopped people from talking about it; other fighters want in on what could prove to be a record-breaking and profitable night while UFC president Dana White has also come out and revealed how much the Notorious and Money could earn.

One of the Irishman’s stablemates recently got in on the talk, with Artem Lobov in action on Saturday night against Cub Swanson, and discussed that he’d want to fight the ‘chinny’ Amir Khan if he ever decided to pursue a career in boxing.
Speaking to champions.co, the Russian Hammer claimed: “I would love to box, but Conor, he’s going straight to the top and he’s going for the best guy out there – Floyd Mayweather.
“For me, though, I’d like a warm up fight first.
“I’d like someone easy first, like Amir Khan or someone like that. That would be a nice and easy one for me. With that glass chin, against me? I’d knock him out, and that would be an easy night for me.”
TWITTER SPAT
Khan was made aware of the interview, and his response resulted in a heated yet entertaining Twitter spat.
Khan posted: “Who does this fool @RusHammerMMA think he is, better shut your mouth up before I spark you out.”
Considering he’s part of McGregor’s camp, there was no way Lobov was going to remain quiet.
He responded: “@amirkingkhan I sneeze harder than you punch! Tune in on Saturday to watch a real fight!”
Khan wasn’t going to let him have the last laugh, taking aim at the lack of gold he’s earned in his UFC career.
Khan added: “@RusHammerMMA God help you. Try to win any title in @ufc before you try to fight a 2x World champion boxer. What a d**k!”
Khan’s supposedly questionable chin seems to be the go-to insult for any fighter, as Lobov responded: “@amirkingkhan @ufc I am sorry for hurting your feelings, I didn’t mean that, it’s your glass chin I want!”
Lobov is clearly confident, but he’d better keep his focus on the dangerous Swanson rather than looking too far ahead into the future.
Based on finances, though, this could be a fight Khan might keep an eye on.
