Tottenham Hotspur are out of the FA Cup after succumbing to a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea in their semi-final at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.Mauricio Pochettino’s side put up a stern fight but were ultimately undone by a class goal from Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic’s screamer. Some are wondering if Chelsea’s win - which comes after a defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League - will serve as a pivotal moment in the title race. Tottenham have closed the gap to four points but were beaten by a team without Hazard and Diego Costa for 60 minutes. But Pochettino doesn’t believe that will be the case. Instead, he believes Tottenham’s performance shows his side aren’t ready to falter just yet."It's not important - we will move on," Pochettino said about the possible effects of today’s defeat, via the Evening Standard."The players are disappointed but tomorrow we will work again on the training ground and focus on the next game and the Premier League.

"If you play in the way we played today you cannot be worried.

"Sometimes you play well and don't win and now we must only be a little disappointed The gap is four points and we will try to catch up.”

Spurs' loss could be a good motivator

Spurs should use this defeat as motivation to end the season on a high. Who knows what will happen if they win their remaining six matches?

One Tottenham fan is going viral

But for now, there’s only disappointment. Tottenham supporters streamed out of Wembley in droves after Matic’s goal made it 4-2 to the Blues, and one fan is even going viral for his reaction to the Serb’s tremendous strike.

He was captured on television saying just four words to a friend: “Shall we go home?”

Maybe next year, eh?

Chelsea's class prevailed

Spurs put up a good fight, coming back from behind twice when Harry Kane and Dele Alli equalised.

But the pivotal moment proved to be Hazard’s introduction on the hour mark.

The Belgian scored 14 minutes after his arrival and then teed up Matic to fire home from 30 yards.

If only Spurs had a player of Hazard’s class.
