Arsenal will face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 27 after recording a surprise 2-1 victory over Manchester City this afternoon.Sergio Aguero broke the deadlock for City midway through the second half but Nacho Monreal sent the match into extra-time with a neat finish.Alexis Sanchez then ensured the Gunners will compete in a third FA Cup final in four seasons with a close-range finish past Claudio Bravo in the 101st minute.Clearly, this will be Arsenal’s toughest FA Cup final since defeating Manchester United back in 2005.In 2014, they defeated Hull City. Twelve months later, they beat a terrible Aston Villa side 4-0.This time they take on Antonio Conte’s formidable Chelsea, who beat Tottenham 4-2 on Saturday afternoon.

At least Drogba won't be playing, Arsene

However, Wenger will no doubt be relieved that Chelsea’s current side doesn’t feature a certain Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian striker’s record against the Gunners is absurd. In 16 appearances against Wenger’s side, he’s netted 16 goals, with his latest goal scored for the MLS All-Stars during a pre-season friendly last summer.

Asked if he feels fortunate to constantly score against Arsenal, Drogba was quoted by Goal as saying: "I don't know, I don't know, I want to say that I'm lucky but when you score 16 goals against them I don't think it's luck no more."

Wenger added at the time: "He has always harmed us, and he continues. He's a winner and I think that he'll be like that until the end of his life.

"At half-time, I was thinking 'He's still haunting us, even in the United States!' Drogba is a typical poacher of a goal. He can do that in the box.

"When I see him in the box and fighting with young defenders I always think that now there is danger there because you know he will get the upper hand and score you a goal and that's what he did."

Or will he...?

Drogba recently signed for the American club Pheonix Rising and after Arsenal booked their place in the FA Cup final, the 39-year-old dropped a quite brilliant tweet.

“Dear @PHXRisingFC I'll be off on loan with @ChelseaFC for two days 26/27th of May, just to make it 17/17 against #afc #IswearIBeBack #banter.”

Superb.
