It's no secret that John Cena is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time, but 'The Chairman Of The Board' Vince McMahon's recent comparison for Cena has sports fans going nuts!Cena has a record 16 World Title wins which ties two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair's record. 'The Leader Of The Cenation' has been McMahon's golden goose for over a decade and took to Twitter to compare him to Baseball great Babe Ruth on his birthday, which set sports fans ablaze in the reply section. You can check out McMahon's controversial Tweet here:

One fan pointed out that this isn't the first time that McMahon has compared a top WWE Superstar to Ruth, as an old Tweet was brought up showing Vince again using the comparison for Hulk Hogan:

Some fans don't agree that Cena is as big an icon in the sport as Ruth was to his, as many give that moniker to WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin instead:

And of course a GIF of The Rock had to be used, as 'The People's Champ' takes off his sunglasses to deliver quite the smirk in response to the bold statement from McMahon:

While many dislike Cena for his squeaky clean gimmick, there are of course those who support the man who lives by the motto 'Hustle, Loyalty, Respect':

Regardless of what one may think, Cena has done a tremendous amount for the company and sport of pro wrestling as a whole. Much like The Rock, Cena has been able to reach an even broader audience away from the world of WWE.

When it comes to the hardcore fan many believe that a comparison to someone such as Babe Ruth belongs to the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin has one of the greatest gimmicks in the history of the company and put on some extraordinary matches during his run.

Or perhaps The Rock, as we previously mentioned, who controlled any audience he stepped in front of and went on to become the highest-grossing actor in Hollywood today.

While many won't agree with Cena being the Babe Ruth of WWE, most likely because of his PG-friendly persona and his reluctance to turn heel, it's tough to deny the man's contributions to the industry and how great they've been.

Despite the debate, a very Happy Birthday to John Cena from everyone here at Give Me Sport, and we look forward to all the great matches he has left for us inside the squared circle.
