At NBA arenas, fans are seated right near the court, which can lead to interesting and dangerous situations when they become a part of the action.

On Sunday afternoon in Game 4 of the Cleveland Cavaliers-Indiana Pacers first-round playoff series, one Pacer fan found himself with a potential souvenir after a loose ball bounced to him in his seat under the basket.

With some quick thinking, he offered Cleveland guard Kyrie Irving the inflatable pink flamingo he was holding instead of the basketball when the star point guard came over to him.

Irving, as you can see below, wasn't amused by the proposed flamingo-for-basketball trade and slapped the inflatable bird out of the fan's hands before reaching for the ball:

The fan's timing was obviously bad, as the incident occurred in the fourth quarter of a close playoff game. Irving can be forgiven for not playing along with the shenanigans with a chance at a four-game sweep on the line.

Irving wasn't too affected by the fan's attempt to get in his head, though - he finished Sunday's series clincher with 28 points and a surprising three blocks in Cleveland's 106-102 road victory.

LeBron James, though, was the star of the night, scoring a game-high 33 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to the win.

Indiana star Paul George knows a thing or two about losing to LeBron in the playoffs, dating back to King James's days with the Miami Heat. After the game, George told ESPN.com he is sick of losing to the Cavaliers star, but he knows if he's ever going to win a title, he has to dethrone the king:

"It's real frustrating to continue on losing to the same team or same person," George said. "Ultimately, he (James) is who I'm always going to have to see and face."

Though things didn't work out for George and the Pacers this time around, they did manage to keep things close, losing all four games by a combined 16 points. That's of little consolation, however, when LeBron and the Cavs are still playing in the postseason and you're heading home.

Kyrie, LeBron and the rest of the Cavs will now get some well-deserved rest as they await their next opponent - the winner of the Toronto Raptors-Milwaukee Bucks first-round series that is currently tied at two games apiece.

Whatever happens in the next round, it's probably safe to say that nothing a fan (or any sort of inflatable animal) does will faze Irving.
