After a great outing against David Haye in March, finding instant success in his very first fight in the heavyweight division, British professional boxer Tony Bellew is set to test himself once again in the same category with Tyson Fury in sight.

The former world heavyweight champion Fury has taken to social media, calling out Bellew on Twitter for a possible bout.

Bellew has now revealed that he has held talks with the Fury camp and a fight is indeed feasible in the future.

Although, no further details were disclosed by the Liverpudlian regarding the potential showdown.

The 34-year-old promoted himself from the cruiserweight division to heavyweight in order to fight Haye earlier this year and won the bout in phenomenal fashion, taking his win tally to 29 out of 32.

Daily Mirror quoted the former WBC cruiserweight king saying: “I like Tyson, we get on great, but if he keeps calling me out then we might have to have a dance.

“Could we sit down and get it on? We've had talks. It's a possibility."

Both boxers hold each other in high regard, though, Bellew is of the opinion Fury would not be as intimidating as the likes of Wladimir Klitschko or Anthony Joshua.

He added: “Tyson is a different type of proposition. He's not a big, fast explosive heavyweight like Wladimir Klitschko or Anthony Joshua, but he's still an amazing fighter with a great boxing brain on his shoulders.

“Could I outbox him in the ring for 12 rounds? Maybe I can, maybe I can't.

“We've had talks. Since I took Haye's scalp, we've had talks with Fury's people.”

Fury is still in rehabilitation program following his suspension after testing positive for cocaine last year which led to his withdrawal from the fight against Klitschko, with Joshua now set to go up against him on April 29 at Wembley Stadium.

The 28-year-old does not have a licence after British Boxing Board of Control cancelled it with no fixed date confirmed yet for the licence to get reinstated for the Manchester-born ace.

Despite the ban, Fury still remains one of the most prolific fighters in the present era and is yet to lose a bout in his pro career.

The boxing fraternity, as well as the fans, will be hoping to witness an enthralling encounter between two talented Brits in the future with both ‘The Gypsy King’ and ‘The Bomber’ willing to come to terms to bring the fight to fruition.
