WWE fans were left stunned last week on SmackDown LIVE when Jinder Mahal emerged victorious from the six-pack challenge match. The victory wasn’t any ordinary one, though, as The Maharaja has now found himself being the number one contender and will challenge Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at the SmackDown-exclusive Backlash event.

NEW CONTENDER

Some still can’t believe it, but it’s clear that the WWE is planning on giving him a push with or without a championship around his waist as they are planning their expansion into India; where the market is huge.

They most interesting thing that happened during that match – other than his surprising victory – was that he received help from the team formerly known as the Bollywood Boyz, who were part of the Cruiserweight Classic and have been competing on NXT.

Since then, it’s been confirmed that they’ve been repackaged and will now compete as the Singh Brothers with numerous sources claiming that WWE has big plans to push this stable moving forward with Mahal leading the line.

However, it looks as if they could be adding a fourth member to their team – another relative unknown to the majority of the audience but someone the Indian fans may be aware of.

Following their appearance on the blue brand to cost Sami Zayn the victory, the Singh Brothers accompanied NXT talent Jeet Rama to the ring during his dark mark at the most recent NXT tapings, as you'll be able to see below.

FOUR-MAN STABLE?

As expected, this has everyone believing that Rama will be added to the stable relatively soon; which could happen on SmackDown or his appearance could even be saved for Backlash.

Rama won his dark match because of another distraction, and the timing of it all is what’s interesting as the tapings took place just one night after the Singh Brothers appeared on SmackDown LIVE to help Mahal become the number one contender.

Rama does have an amateur wrestling background, which already gives him an advantage as it means he doesn’t need to completely start from scratch, although things like the language barrier could potentially hinder his progress.

Based on his distinctive look, though, it seems as if he fits the character of being the muscle in the group, allowing Mahal to do the majority of the talking and talk-up Rama’s chances on the main roster.

You can bet that WWE will push this group heavily as the Indian expansion continues, and although it may be a risk to skip NXT altogether and move to the main roster, it did work out for Braun Strowman, so perhaps it’s a risk worth taking.
