Sin Cara has had a very interesting turn with the WWE during his run with the company as the masked wrestler has mostly struggled to find a firm foothold. He was signed with much acclaim in 2011 after his introductory press conference in Mexico City.Sin Cara’s original performer was released and it’s now Hunico under the mask using the same gimmick. Even so, he’s making the most of his chances as the man behind that mask. The lucha wrestler has often been a face in this stint with the WWE and has teamed with the likes of John Cena and Daniel Bryan in the past, Still, his most recent high profile moments have been getting manhandled with Apollo Crews by Dolph Ziggler. After various moments off-camera that got him into trouble, things are looking up for the faceless competitor after the recent Superstar Shakeup. Now on SmackDown, he’s hoping to take advantage of the scarce cruiserweight presence on the blue brand.WWE creative seems to be helping him out as well with new duds heading into some recent live shows. Sin Cara posted a tweet showing off his new look after an event in Fargo and mentioned that they were on the way to Des Moines, Iowa for another edition of SmackDown Live.Fans were extremely positive about the new ring gear for a wrestler known as one of the more colorful characters on the company’s active roster. They echoed their support in the responses to the tweet, which means that this plan looks like a success so far.

As the old saying goes, nothing is forever in professional wrestling and these small beginnings of a push look like a signal for that very sentiment. WWE was not pleased with Cara because of some violations of the wellness policy earlier in his time there and for some beef with Chris Jericho.

There were incidents in the past where he was heavily punished for backstage altercations and had to make his own way to TV tapings. All of that looks like it is water under the bridge at the moment though.

Necessity is the mother of all invention and with a lot of talent moving between the two brands, some stars are going to have to step in and fill that void. It is well documented that Vince McMahon likes to have superstars that can appeal to any and all markets.

This could be Sin Cara’s big chance to have a long run at the mid-tier of the company like he was headed for after his big reveal. Plans can change on a dime in the WWE and if they do, then he will still have a sweet new costume.
