Payback is this Sunday and WWE fans will finally get to see the PPV debut of Samoa Joe as he finally climbs in the ring with Seth Rollins.

Rollins is coming off of the back of a WrestleMania victory over Triple H, but he faces a completely different challenge with Samoa Joe.

Not the complete package

Rollins is arguably one of the biggest names on the WWE roster and has over the last two years given the fans some of their most memorable matches.

However one WWE Hall of Famer feels that Rollins still has a long way to go before he can be considered the companies top superstars.

Former WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin has recently been speaking about Rollins and has claimed that he needs more character development.

Stone Cold is considered as one of the most influential characters in WWE history so he certainly knows what it takes to create a great character.

"He relied on his sequences and athleticism to carry him. To take him to the next level, he'll have to get more character development."

Austin may not have meant to put Rollins in a negative light, but he certainly highlighted how he feels about the two time WWE Champion.

"I still don't have a sense of who or what this guy is. And so that rests on Seth Rollins' shoulders, as an individual, as a performer, to define and create that."

Claiming that he has no sense of who Seth Rollins is, Austin has laid down the challenge to Rollins to take himself to the next level.

Austin would go on to compare Rollins to another WWE great in Bret Hart outside the ring as he claimed that both men were humble and reserved away from the ring.

Stone Cold would highlight how Hart was quiet outside the ring but had a very defined gimmick and that was what made him a top superstar.

Knowing who he is?

Rollins and Triple H gave fans one of the more intense feuds ahead of WrestleMania earlier this month.

Now heading into Payback, Rollins is once again involved in a very personal rivalry with Samoa Joe - although the feud has been somewhat limited on RAW.

The two have barely clashed in the ring ahead of Sundays match, but Joe has quickly risen to become one of the most physical superstars on the roster despite that.

Rollins' character should be on full display Sunday night when the two step into the ring together.
