One of the biggest issues fans have had with Seth Rollins is that he continued to use Triple H’s Pedigree finishing manoeuvre even after the two went their separate ways.At the time, it was perfect. It showed that The Architect was The Game’s protégé and would use his greatest weapon to remain at the top of the company after the WWE banned his Curb Stomp.

NEW FINISHER

It was thought that Rollins would perhaps debut a new finishing move at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, where he finally defeated Triple H – but used the Pedigree instead.

Fans have been throwing suggestions out for a while and a popular choice seems to be the Phoenix Splash, which makes sense considering he’s now a face and that clearly suits somebody who is portraying a good guy on television.

However, last week we caught a glimpse of what his new finishing move might have been, but we received confirmation of it this week on Monday Night RAW when Rollins pinned Karl Anderson during a six-man tag team match.

There’s no denying that it looks pretty cool, as he flips his opponent around during the Rainmaker and then hits a jumping knee strike to the head – but the hardcore wrestling fan will know that it’s famously associated with someone else who was linked to WWE not too long ago, and he didn’t sound too happy about it on Twitter.

THE CLEANER REACTS

The match at Wrestle Kingdom 11 between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega drew plenty of praise, with many already calling it the match of the year, and during that match The Cleaner used the exact same move.

He used Okada’s Rainmaker to set up his V-Trigger finishing move, which is usually a running knee strike to the head but in this instance, he flipped him around into a jumping knee strike – identical to what Rollins did.

Omega took to Twitter to have his say on Rollins' new move with numerous tweets, claiming he isn’t upset about it, and joked that he still has his entrance music while responding to fans who either claimed his was better, or that every star gets inspiration from somewhere.

You can see a video of them both utilising the finishing move below.

Rollins isn’t the first and won’t be the last that gets inspiration from somebody else, and he was even vocal about wanting Omega in WWE in the build-up to the Rumble, so perhaps Omega shouldn’t be too upset that one of the finest in WWE has drawn inspiration from The Cleaner.

Now you can expect fans to debate on which of them did it better.
