This Sunday is the Payback PPV and while it is a RAW exclusive event, Smackdown's top title will be on the line.

The WWE Championship will be defended in a House of Horrors match between the Champion Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt.

No idea what to expect

The House of Horrors match was first suggested by Wyatt and since then, neither man has been forth coming with what the fans can expect from it.

Fan expectations are hard to estimate right now and no-one seems to be able to guess what will happen in Sunday's match.

Reports claimed several weeks ago that WWE seemingly didn't know what they should do with the match as they were reportedly asking fans what they want to see.

With less than a week until the match itself, the latest instalment of the Wrestling Observer Radio featured some backstage rumours on the match.

Dave Meltzer was speaking about Sunday's title match and claimed that there could be a portion of the match that will be pre- taped.

Meltzer believes that the match will begin inside the House of Horrors with the finish coming inside the ring.

He expects a portion of the match - likely the start to be pre- taped in a haunted house or a section of the arena dedicated to it.

This will be before the close of the match takes place in front of the live audience in attendance.

It does seem quite unlikely that the company would want a lot of a WWE Championship match at a PPV to be pre- taped so fans may still get to see a lot of live action in the match on Sunday.

The final result of Sunday's match may not come as a surprise to many fans but it should still be interesting to see just what WWE can concoct for the House of Horrors match.

A new challenger in waiting

Last week on Smackdown, Jinder Mahal was named as the shock #1 contender for Orton's title with their match expected to take place at Backlash.

With Mahal being named as the top contender for the title, that makes it unlikely that the title will move to RAW with Wyatt.

With Orton likely to retain his title on Sunday, he seems set for a feud with Mahal heading to Backlash in what could prove to be the most unpredictable feud of the year.
