Jose Mourinho certainly hasn't been afraid to ruffle a few feathers during his first season in charge of Manchester United.
The Portuguese boss has frequently publically called out his players to improve, most notably Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial, in recent months.
And on the whole, his unorthodox methods have had the desired effect.
Martial returned to the starting XI against Burnley last Sunday and managed to bag himself the opening goal in a positive display as United's sole striker while Shaw has also got himself back into Mourinho's good books of late.
But with the end of the season now in sight, the manager's blunt approach may have finally backfired.
That's because, according to the Daily Mail, various United stars are disappointed with how Mourinho has treated two of their currently injured teammates.
Following the season-ending cruciate knee ligament injury picked up by Marcos Rojo last week against Anderlecht, the Red Devils have been left threadbare for centre-backs.
Daley Blind replaced Rojo alongside Eric Bailly at Turf Moor but after the game, Mourinho urged the injured Phil Jones and Chris Smalling make themselves available for selection.
"If I was Smalling or Jones, I would play Thursday with anything, I would do a last push," Mourinho said.
"If they have a crazy mentality like I have, they would."
Jones has been recovering from a broken toe, while Smalling only recently took his leg out of a brace after picking up a knee injury.
But Mourinho's encouragement to get the duo to return ahead of schedule has not gone done well with their teammates.
It is also worth noting the Mail haven't specifically named the players who think Jones and Smalling are being unfairly treated so it is difficult to judge how much of a divisive issue it has proven to be.
Should the pair back down from the manager's challenge, Blind is expected to retain his place at centre-back against Man City on Thursday.
Despite playing almost the entirety of last season in that position, Mourinho has largely utilised the versatile Dutch international at left-back throughout his reign.
