Sunday was merely three days ago and it feels like the Cleveland Cavaliers have been off for nearly a week. They earned that rest period by sweeping the Indiana Pacers in four games in a closely fought series. Now, the team is resting up and getting themselves right for the next step on their playoff journey. One key member of the group, Richard Jefferson, is chronicling their adventures on his Snapchat account. These updates have become beloved by Cavs fans who get to see a side to their team that never seemed possible with stars of this stature. Sure enough, RJ gets the goods on LeBron James, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and the entire cast of teammates.Earlier this week, he gave his followers a look at what it is like to watch a game on the couch with Kevin Love and Channing Frye. Yesterday, Jefferson and Frye were completely confused by LeBron’s newest part of his workout routine. Both of the forwards looked on from exercise bikes as the four-time MVP did a series of complicated back training exercises with an athletic trainer. The trainer held his legs down while James completed a full range of motion lifting with his upper body.Gym videos like this are pretty commonplace in today’s NBA as the athletes share more of themselves online than ever. Still, it can be pretty strange to see two world class athletes be just as confused as an average person by a workout.

RJ and his former college teammate aren’t even as young as LBJ, so there is really no reason for them to even do anything approaching what The King does to keep himself going. The exercise bike is your friend in the late stages of a basketball career.

Hopefully, the rest does these veteran players some good because both men were crucial in helping Cleveland reach the final round of the NBA Playoffs last year. Frye was brought in at the trade deadline to help space the floor.

He shot the lights out in the earlier rounds last year and provided the team with a fresh perspective to work with. Jefferson was used sparingly, but called into action after Love was sidelined after a stray elbow to the head from Harrison Barnes gave him a concussion.

Jefferson’s ability to defend and hit timely shots from the perimeter absolutely came in handy on the way to the title last June. He and the sweet-shooting big man now have a podcast on James’ Undisputed network where they tell stories about life and interview their teammates.

Sounds like they have some new material.
