As the season draws to a close, some teams can't help but have one eye on next season. Some mid-table teams are already on their holidays, some teams are fighting for survival and a fair few teams are contesting for the coveted fourth place spot. But it's not only the players and management that are casting a gaze to the 2017-18 campaign.A couple of weeks ago, Liverpool had their away and third strips leaked online and it showed a throwback to the mid-90s and a change of pace with an orange kit. Now, their home strips has been released too and the reviews are good. Very good. The Reds have unveiled their new home kit with a special commemorative 125th-year-anniversary badge. As you can see by the image below, the home kit has a throwback feel with a tidy white trim. Sometimes keeping it simple is best and that formula has worked a treat here.
Liverpool have released imaged with Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho modelling the home kits as well as Simon Mignolet showcasing the goalkeeping kit which is essentially the same, but green.
As part of the reveal, the club tweeted out: "A unique history. An unforgettable journey. Our new home kit, celebrating 125 years of Liverpool FC."
Manchester United and Manchester City have both had their kits leaked in recent weeks, but this official unveil from the red half of Merseyside has set the standard quite high for next season.
As you can see from the tweets below, fans are loving the new kit.
Liverpool still have a lot of business to get through this season to make sure their new kit will be donned in the Champions League next term.
They are currently third in the table, but Jurgen Klopp's men are far from comfortable. City have two games in hand over them - one of which is the Manchester derby - and sit only two points behind them.
Their defeat at home to Crystal Palace may well come back to haunt them, especially since both of Arsenal and Man United have two games in hand as well and are six and four points behind them, respectively.
