Dover manager Andy Hessenthaler is bemused by his favourite tag for the Watford job.

Some bookmakers have stopped taking bets on Hessenthaler returning to Vicarage Road - where he played over 200 times in the mid 1990s - but he insists he has not heard from the Hornets.

He told the club's official website: "I've definitely had no contact from Watford and neither have the club."

He continued: "I haven't a clue why people have been betting on me so much.

"Maybe 20-1 odds for a former player who has managed at Championship level looks a good price on paper."
