It's been a strange season for Barcelona. Having pulled off one of the comebacks of the season when overcame Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier this year, they crashed out in the next round to Juventus and hold a slim lead at the top of the table in Spain.

While Real Madrid still have a game in hand over the Catalan giants, they will be helpless to stop Los Blancos from claiming the title should they win the rest of their matches.

It'll be a summer of change at the Nou Camp, too, as head coach Luis Enrique is set to move on. Whether the club have already made moves to hire his replacement remains to be seen, but you can bet there is going to be a few changes on the pitch as well.

And according to Spanish publication Onda Cero (via Sport) Barca already appear to have one player in the bag, even beating Real Madrid to his signature in the process.

Young Theo Hernandez has made quite an impression at Deportivo Alaves this season, where he is currently on loan from Atletico Madrid, and it seems that his performances have warranted some serious interest from Barcelona.

The Onda Cero report claims that Hernandez had initially been close to agreeing a deal to join Real, only to have a change of heart at the last minute, deciding on a move to the Blaugrana.

It is said that part of his decision to abandon a move to Real was because he was concerned about it appearing as betrayal to Atletico's fans.

However, should the deal go ahead, it would mean that Jordi Alba could be a part of the deal and would head the other way on loan.

Alba has been a regular for the club for several years now, but under Luis Enrique he has become more of a rotation player.

However, Paris Saint Germain are also said to be interested in landing his signature, so there are till several factors that could affect where he ends up.

The 19-year-old Hernandez has made a total of 31 appearances for Alaves this season, helping the to a mid-table finish and a cup final.

He is still yet to make an appearance for Atletico's first team, and it's not known as to whether he would be going straight into Barca's first team should he sign. Though, if Jordi Alba is being moved on temporarily, it would seem that he would be playing a big part in their season.
