The Superstar Shake-up saw several superstars switch between Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live in the WWE. One of those superstars was the United States champion, Kevin Owens.

Since his move from WWE's red brand to the blue brand, The Prizefighter has been making appearances on the show while wearing a suit, something which seems odd for his character.

Fans don't seem to be too bothered by it, as it isn't affected how Owens wrestles or delivers his promos, but there is a reason behind this decision to have the United States champion smartly dressed.

Unfortunately, however, it is a rather disappointing one. According to Jeremy of Sportskeeda, the decision to have Owens wear a suit is because of his build and shape.

They have reported: "According to a WWE source, Vince McMahon isn’t happy with the build and fitness of United States Champion, Kevin Owens.

"The source said that McMahon is “so fed up” with Owens being overweight and not lifting weights the way he’d like that he has requested the Canadian superstar to work in a suit.

"The New Face of America has been wearing a suit recently, but this has only been the case for promos and guest announcing segments. Now, Vince reportedly wants him to “work the matches in a suit” as well."

This is rather disappointing due to the time which we live in, and the fact that despite his size, Owens has still managed to put on excellent matches during his time in the WWE, wrestling against the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, Goldberg, and AJ Styles.

The Prizefighter obviously isn't the stereotypical shape and build which Vince McMahon goes for, but this hasn't stopped him from stealing the show on several occasions and being an outstanding champion, whether that be with the Intercontinental title, the Universal title, or the United States title.

Sportskeeda has also noted: "In addition to the change in attire, Vince is also supposedly behind the recent trim of Owens’ beard. If both of these changes do stem from the top boss’ displeasure, Owens would be best served to listen."

If Owens does wear a suit for his match against Jericho this weekend at Payback, this could be a sign that there is heat towards him backstage to change his shape. Considering, however, that The Prizefighter is arguably one of the WWE's best superstars, it's strange that it's suddenly become an issue.
