The reaction at WrestleMania 33 said it all – WWE fans love the fact that The Hardy Boyz are back in the company.

While there was still some disappointment on the ‘Broken’ front, there’s still hope that we’ll see that particular version of Matt in WWE as they’ve reportedly reached an agreement with Anthem to purchase the gimmick and they intend on moving forward with it.

BROKEN UNIVERSE

During Matt’s success with his Broken gimmick, Jeff played a huge role in that as Brother Nero and the expectation is that he’d slot into the same role if and when the gimmick is finally on television – and it could happen as soon as they drop their RAW tag team championships.

However, if rumours are to be believed then Matt could go off on his own adventure while WWE still has big, singles plans for The Charismatic Enigma.

It was speculated that Vince McMahon is still high on Jeff, and is plotting a world championship run with him with feuds such as Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor reportedly in the works.

It makes sense, as Jeff is still and will always remain universally popular.

However, IWNerd’s new report has brought forward some new hints which suggests WWE is heading in the direction of giving Jeff a big push.

SINGLES PUSH ON THE HORIZON?

They’re claiming that the most obvious hint is that WWE advertised Jeff’s singles match with Cesaro on RAW last week as a dream match, which meant that they can continue to put him in singles matches and bill them as dream bouts.

Apparently, that was also a test from McMahon to see if Jeff can still connect with the audience without Matt competing in the match, and it’s safe to say that he passed with flying colours based on the reactions he received.

The same source is claiming that the latest big hint comes from WWE again, as they’ve released several videos which showcase Jeff as a singles competitor, without Matt featured in any of them.

Some of them include where he hit The People’s Elbow on The Rock, jumping off a production truck at One Night Stand in 2008 and his Extreme Rules match against The Undertaker.

It’s obvious WWE is trying to reintroduce newer fans to some of the incredible work Jeff has done during previous WWE stints, and the company had also been teased their arrival for weeks before they made their return on April 2 – so perhaps there’s more to this than meets the eye.

While they can succeed together with the Broken gimmick, signs point towards them both splitting up and Jeff will – once again – have a successful singles run.
