Football fans who don't support either club won't have been at all surprised that the Manchester derby didn't live up to the hype that was built up before the game. All too frequently matches of this stature, though great on paper, are often dull affairs. And this one didn't disappoint in that regard. A goalless draw that was capped off with a ridiculous sending off for one of United's players was as good as it got for viewers both in the stadium and at home. However, those watching from the comfort of their own homes were able to get a more comprehensive look at who played well and who had a stinker. While it goes without saying that Marouane Fellaini was the only player to have a nightmare, there was one man in particular who stood out for the visitors. The Red Devils were on the back foot for the majority of the game, and for several prolonged spells the defence were forced to repel everything City could throw at them, which they did so wonderfully. With their backline in tatters thanks to a series of injuries to key players, it's fair to say that there were probably a good few bets places on City to find the back of the net at some point during the game, but led by Eric Bailly, they were able to keep a valuable clean sheet.Playing with supreme confidence, the Ivorian marshalled his defence perfectly and put in several perfectly timed tackles whenever City threatened to get too close.Having only joined over the summer, he has shown that he has taken to English football with relative ease, and plays with a confidence that belies his 23 years. And the fans at home noticed this and were quick to sing his praises on Twitter, highlighting his transformation from a relative unknown into what seems to be a vital member of the squad.Bailly wasn't the only player to put in a good performance as Daley Blind showed that he could still have a future at the club as Bailly's defensive partner, while goalkeeper David de Gea pulled off several outstanding saves when the defence was breeched. But the focus was mostly on the 23-year-old defender, who is proving himself to be quite a shrewd piece of business.See some of the reactions below.

Not bad for a player in his first season in England with only 104 career appearances to his name. It seems he could go from strength to strength in the coming years and certainly looks like the kind of player United fans can get excited about.
