Alexis Sanchez's theatrics after Christian Fuchs launched a throw-in straight at him dominated much of the post-match discussion on Wednesday night. The Arsenal star's attempt to get Fuchs punished by referee Mike Jones during the 1-0 win at the Emirates prompted plenty of criticism after the game and probably deservedly so.He also didn't get much sympathy after showing off his swollen lip - picked up in a different incident - on Twitter immediately afterwards. It really didn't go down very well and one of his opponents on Wednesday, Robert Huth, even trolled Sanchez's tweet with a post of his own.Arsenal fans will be glad to know Sanchez is expected to recover from his injury in time for Sunday's clash with Tottenham. The north London derby is always competitive, however, with Spurs in a great position to finish above the Gunners this season, Arsene Wenger's men can ill-afford to come away from White Hart Lane empty-handed.The last time the two sides met in Tottenham's backyard was at the start of March in 2016.

That game, Sanchez found himself in a not too dissimilar situation to the one he was in just a few days ago.

After the ball had gone out of play, the Chilean was given a little nudge out of the way by Erik Lamela.

Sanchez didn't take too kindly to that and responded with a push of his own.

As you can see in the video below, Lamela's exaggerated reaction wasn't too different to Sanchez's vs Fuchs.

At least he managed to stay on his feet, but it is still pretty embarrassing from Spurs' Argentine winger.

How the tables have turned for Sanchez?

Luckily, he only picked up a yellow card and managed to score Arsenal's equaliser to draw 2-2 after Francis Coquelin had been sent off earlier in the second half.

Of course, emotions are always running high during derby matches but Wenger will be desperate for Sanchez to avoid getting involved a similar incident this time around with so much at stake.
