Manchester United fans have every reason to be excited by what the summer transfer window holds following Guillem Balague's claim on Friday.
According to the Spanish football expert, United's board are prepared to give Jose Mourinho a mind-blowing £300-£400 million to spend on new signings.
"I am reliably informed that Manchester United are willing to spend in the region of £300m to £400m this summer to achieve what they want," he said, per Sky Sports.
In fact, United could be swayed to spend more than £400 million should Mourinho see fit. "They could spend more if necessary," Balague added.
So what could £400 million get you in today's market? Well, based on United's reported targets, they could comfortably afford Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku and Kylian Mbappe.
But there's another player Mourinho is particularly interested in: Barcelona's Neymar.
Various sources report the Portuguese is keen to trigger Neymar's €200 million buyout clause at the Camp Nou and bring him to Old Trafford.
Much would depend on whether Neymar wants to stay, but money talks; if Barcelona placed a €200 million buyout clause in his contract, it means anything is possible.
Better still for United is that the Brazilian has previously expressed a desire to play in the Premier League.
"The Premier League is a championship that amazes me," Neymar told The Sun in March. "I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes.
"I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool - these are the teams that are always there fighting.
"And then you have high-level coaches like Mourinho and [Pep] Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work."
Neymar is clearly a big fan of United and according to the Daily Record's Duncan Castles, he's spoken to friends about a possible move to Old Trafford.
Castles claims that Neymar has told friends he is well aware of United's interest and that they - as well as Chelsea - have contacted him about joining them.
In essence, Neymar has confirmed that United will pursue his signature at the end of the season. Exciting stuff.
Quite how the Brazil star responded to their enquiry remains unknown, but considering he's widely regarded as the heir to Lionel Messi's throne, there's no chance Barcelona will want to lose him.
