Roberto Soldado, remember him? The Spanish striker Tottenham purchased from Valencia for £26m that could not hit a barn door on English soil. The former Spurs man had a catalogue of dire misses during his time in north London and it seems that he may have added another while back in his homeland.Soldado is now at Villarreal and while playing against Sporting Gijon on Friday evening, the 31-year-old channelled his previous form in England and placed it all into one glorious miss.

The video of his mishap can be seen below:
That is painful viewing, although, to be fair, the Spaniard clearly does slip when receiving the ball from Cedric Bakambu but even so, the net should have bulged.
Luckily, the miss did not affect the result too much with the Yellow Submarine running out 3-1 winners over Sporting who now look destined for relegation.
Soldado actually scored the opening goal of the game and just four minutes after his moment of shame, he recorded the assist for the third goal, teeing up Bakambu.
The Spaniard has experienced a slight career revival back on Spanish shores, however, this campaign he has been hampered by injury, making just nine appearances - scoring three goals and recording two assists.
The sad truth is that no matter what improvements Soldado makes in his twilight years, he will always be remembered for that ill-fated two-year stint with Spurs.
Seven goals in 52 Premier League appearances just about sums up the level to which he played with the club.
It seems Spurs have a knack for signing strikers and turning them into misfiring flops, just look at Vincent Janssen this season - two goals in 24 league appearances.
But, when you have Harry Kane scoring with virtually every kick he takes of a football then I guess it doesn't matter too much.
He may have been nicknamed 'Goaldado' but even now, Soldado can still produce the hilarious. Never change Bobby, never change.
