Now that Brock Lesnar is the Universal Champion after defeating Goldberg at WrestleMania, the target on his back is now bigger.
Now, it sounds as if one of his most dangerous challengers could be eyeing up a mammoth clash against him.
HUGE CLASH
There’s no denying that Samoa Joe has had a stuttering start to life on the main roster.

His RAW debut came in surprising fashion, as rumours of a Royal Rumble appearance were put to bed when he wasn’t featured on the event and instead, he announced himself on the scene as the destroyer when he attacked Seth Rollins on behalf of Triple H.
Plenty of rumours followed regarding potential heat – which proved to be false – as Joe went on to lock in the Coquina Clutch on The Architect in the middle of the ring, and injured his knee in the process.
You can understand why people would be annoyed, as it threw Rollins’ WrestleMania 33 role into doubt, but still managed to rush his rehab and defeat Triple H in Orlando earlier this month, even if he wasn’t 100%.
While all that has been going on, Joe hasn’t been doing much.
It was speculated that he could have had a role in the match between Rollins and The Game as it was a non-sanctioned match; meaning anything goes and he could have helped beat down Rollins while a Finn Balor return was also rumoured for the match.
Instead, Joe’s first big moment comes at Payback on Sunday night when he finally has his match with Rollins, but he’s already set his sights on a future Monday Night RAW opponent.
Speaking on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast, the former two-time NXT Champion revealed that he’s eyeing up a match with current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.
THE DESTROYER VS. THE BEAST INCARNATE
Ring Side News gave a brief description of what was said in the conversation, writing: “Joe says that he’d love to have a match with Brock Lesnar at some point in the future.
“He thinks it’s something fans would love to see, and he believes he and Lesnar would be able to put together some great matches and make a lot of money.
“He points out that he’s known for his physical, believable style and if you’re working with Lesnar, your work has to look believable.”
The physical aspect is key, as their styles are perfect for each other and fans would love to see a legitimate-looking brawl between them both.
It’s something WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross also touched on as well some months ago, as he claimed that Joe should be the one to dethrone The Beast Incarnate as it allows WWE to create a new monster they can move forward with.
It’s well-known that Joe is friends with Paul Heyman, so perhaps his influence backstage could lead to a potential feud down the line.
