Goldberg became a megastar in the world of professional wrestling after the incredible push he received during his time with WCW during the 1990s.

The WCW icon went on to go a reported 155 matches undefeated in the promotion, picking up the World Heavyweight championship along the way before finally losing to Kevin Nash at Starrcade in December 1998.

The streak allowed Goldberg to become a megastar in the sports entertainment industry, which helped him transition to the WWE and become an icon in that promotion as well. Superstars like him don't come around that often.

Speaking on the latest episode of Eric Bischoff's podcast, Bischoff On Wrestling, the former Universal champion was asked who out of the current crop of WWE superstars does he believe could be the next megastar.

It comes at no surprise that Goldberg believes Braun Strowman could be that superstar.

He said, according to comicbook.com: "Whatever the landscape looks like now, it can drastically change in the next 6-12 months, but if I had to just go based on a package and based on what can be done with it, I'd say Braun has a lot of potential.

"If every scenario everything was done properly, cultivated, I think with what he has to present against others, I think his package is pretty good. He's got a high ceiling. He's like the big guys from the past."

Braun Strowman certainly does have the potential to be a megastar in the WWE, and since breaking away from The Wyatt Family to become a singles star just over a year ago, he has gone from stride to stride.

The Monster Among Men's in-ring work has improved as he has taken more advantage of his large size, and he has done a lot of work with his promos as he is able to engage the crowd when he talks, and cause them to react.

Strowman has a match this weekend at the Payback pay-per-view against Roman Reigns, which he is expected to win. This could be the moment which his rumored push towards main eventing SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar for the Universal title takes place, taking him one step closer towards becoming a megastar in the WWE.
