A decade ago Ronaldinho was one of the best players on the planet. Still at Barcelona, he was illuminating La Liga and the Champions League with a dazzling array of skills that most of us couldn't even dream of pulling off.

But now, at the age of 37, he has been without a club for two years, and recently announced his official retirement, bringing about the end of a wonderful legacy as one of the game's most colourful and cheerful characters.

However, despite having hung up his boots, he will still dust them off occasionally for a big event, and this weekend's Barcelona vs Real Madrid legends game was one of those times.

Travelling to Lebanon to play alongside the likes of Ludovic Guily, Edgar Davids and Gaizka Mendieta, the veteran Brazilian stole the show by showcasing some of his old tricks.

And he stood out above everyone else, helping the Barcelona legends to a 3-2 win, and though he didn't get on the scoresheet himself, he did have a hand in all three strikes.

His first assist was a stunning no-look pass, replicating the many he pulled off during his playing career. Even in their old age it seems Real's legends weren't able to cope with his dazzling ability and natural grace.

His second saw him curl a beautiful ball through the middle of the Madrid defence with his left foot, and the third was similar to that, only this time he utilised his right foot.

Check the highlights below to see for yourself, he played an absolute blinder.

Ronaldinho's last career outing came in his native Brazil, making seven appearances for Fluminense in 2015. He had toyed with prolonging his career slightly and signing with another club, but for one reason or another it just didn't happen.

But he retired with a stunning record of scoring 280 goals in 728 games, winning a total of 22 team trophies, including the Champions League and the World Cup.

For Brazil, he turned out 97 times, finding the net on 33 occasions, with his last cap coming in 2013.
