The WWE United Kingdom Championship took the world by storm earlier this year, where we saw several British talents create a name for themselves, while the 19-year-old Tyler Bate was crowned the inaugural champion.Since then, guys like Mark Andrews, Trent Seven and Wolfgang have remained in the limelight, but perhaps the star of the show was Pete Dunne as the Bruiserweight’s uber-heel antics made him a sought-after star.

ULTIMATE HEEL

He’s like a typical British villain, and fans can’t help but love to hate him and it’s clear why Triple H singled him out as somebody who made good use of the platform WWE provided.

So much so, that many believed Dunne would be part of Triple H’s rumoured stable he was supposedly going to be creating, featuring the likes of Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe.

While those big moments are still a while away, Dunne hit the wrestling headlines yet again for his brilliant antics at an independent show in Glasgow, Scotland.

He’s a heel, he wants you to despise him and will stop at nothing to win, so it doesn’t come as a surprise to hear he used a young child during his match against Joe Coffey.

INDIE SHOW

As you’ll be able to see in the hilarious clip below, Dunne is walking amongst the fans while Coffey is seated opposite him. He then goes on to pick up the unsuspecting child and charges towards Coffey, hitting him with a running/flying dropkick.

Of course, knowing Dunne that wasn’t the end of it.

He carried the child on his shoulders for a brief moment, before surprising the fans as he teased them by almost hitting him with Brock Lesnar’s F5 finishing move.

Thankfully, he didn’t go through with it. Just imagine the backlash if he did decide to stoop that low – as brilliant as it would have been for him as a heel.

You can see why so many fans are excited about him potentially appearing on WWE programming a lot more.

He’s been seen in the audience in recent weeks and also competed at Axxess; however, it’s thought that he’ll be a major part of the weekly UK programming WWE is said to be creating but no date for that has been announced yet.

It’s clear that Dunne is a vital asset and deserves all the praise he’s getting. Hopefully, WWE decides to capitalise on his popularity soon by having him appear on NXT a lot more frequently, while you can’t rule out a potential main roster appearance down the line either.
