Manchester United recorded their 10th draw at Old Trafford this season in this afternoon’s stalemate against Swansea City. The Red Devils also set a new club record - extending their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 25 matches - but there’s no chance to celebrate the achievement after yet another draw.Gylfi Sigurdsson’s free-kick in the second half cancelled out Wayne Rooney’s penalty on the stroke of half-time.The result leaves Jose Mourinho’s side in fifth place as the battle to finish in the top four intensifies. The Portuguese pointed to United’s congested fixture list as the reason for his side’s sloppy performance, and he has a point. This was their ninth match in April, an incredible number of matches to play in just 30 days.“We did not look tired and exhausted, we are tired and exhausted," Mourinho said, per the Manchester Evening News. "You cannot isolate the performance out of the context.

“This is the ninth match of April, it is not human. We have a squad of 22 that is reduced to 13 or 14 players. The players are very tired."

United’s players simply haven’t been able to get a rest.

Swansea could have won it

It must be said that, had Fernando Llorente been wearing his shooting boots, Swansea could have secured all three points. The Spaniard missed a golden opportunity to score late on but he fluffed his lines from yards out.

Though Paul Clement will be pleased with the point, he expressed his disappointment over United’s opener.

It came in first half injury-time. Rooney converted from the penalty spot after Marcus Rashford was brought down by Lukasz Fabianski.

Rashford appeared to dive

The Swansea goalkeeper was unfortunate to be penalised. Fabianksi took his arms away in an attempt to avoid making contact with Rashford, and the 19-year-old was clever and leaned in.

“Marcus Rashford clearly making the most of Fabianski throwing himself to the ground,” Gary Lineker tweeted. “These English players.”

What Rashford said to Mourinho about the penalty incident

After the game, Mourinho revealed what Rashford said to him about the incident.

"I don't have a view because I didn't watch," Mourinho said, per Manchester Evening News. “And I have Marcus' opinion and he said that the goalkeeper touched him."

That’s true. There was contact. But contact is a part of football and it doesn’t always have to result in a foul.

Neil Swarbrick made a mistake, plain and simple.
