Even though she lost her last two fights inside of the Octagon, there’s no denying that Ronda Rousey is still a marquee name in mixed martial arts and she has the ability to put thousands of fans in seats.

However, the biggest news to come out of the Rousey camp is that she’s now engaged to be married to UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, leaving fans wondering whether the former bantamweight champion will have another crack at avenging a loss.

BACK-TO-BACK LOSSES

UFC president Dana White has claimed that he doesn’t see it happening, but fans wouldn’t get too drawn into that until Rousey herself, or somebody from her team stepped forward and provided answers.

Now that she’s away trying to carve out a career in Hollywood, it looks less and less likely.

Rousey’s judo coach, Justin Flores, recently spoke to Submission Radio and has bad news for her fans; he doesn’t see it happening anytime soon which means her final memorable moments inside of the Octagon could be her losses to Holly Holm and then Amanda Nunes.

NOT ON THE CARDS

He said: “Oh man, there’s a lot of layers to that.

“Personally, from what I…I mean, I would support her, but personally I don’t think it’s on the cards. I don’t think that’s what she wants in this time of her life.

“I mean, I’m not discounting anything. Maybe later. But I just don’t see that being something she wants to jump into and focus full force to be the best. Because if she’s gonna do anything, from what I know about her, she’s gonna do it to be the best.

“And not that I don’t think that she can be the best, it’s just, I just don’t know if her body and her mind at this stage in her life, if that’s what’s right for her.”

“She’s competed her whole life. Her whole life has been about being the best, and I just think personally, the best thing is for her to kind of be okay with herself not as a fighter.”

You can understand where he’s coming from as she’s always been in the limelight where every move of hers is scrutinised.

However, while the UFC may always keep their doors open for her, taking more time away from the sport isn’t a wise decision if she does attempt a third comeback.

The division is only getting stronger; the level of competition is fiercer than ever and if she does want one last crack, it’s probably best to do it sooner rather than later.
