The pressure on Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal was ramped up before this afternoon’s north London derby kicked off, with their top four rivals all playing earlier on Sunday.Spurs simply had to win following Chelsea’s 3-0 win at Everton. As for Arsenal, Swansea City and Middlesbrough had done them a favour by holding Manchester United and Manchester City to draws respectively. So Tottenham and Arsenal were competing for more than just bragging rights. Both clubs still have targets to achieve.Regardless of the final score, it’s looking extremely likely that Tottenham will finish above their rivals for the first time since the 1994-95 season.Mauricio Pochettino’s side held a 14-point lead over Arsenal before kick-off, but Arsene Wenger isn’t willing to concede a power shift has taken place in north London just yet.“Let’s be honest, I answer the question of [power] shift for 18 consecutive years,” the Frenchman told reporters this week, via The Guardian. “Nothing changes in that.

“And you cannot say the weight of one year has the weight of 20.

“When we finish 20 years above them, it’s not important and now suddenly it becomes important.”

Ozil's cheeky gesture to Tottenham fans

Supporters from both teams clashed before kick-off, with police intervening, and Mesut Ozil had to deal with some stick from Tottenham supporters when he went to take a corner in the first half.

The German was booed as he waited to take the corner. And how did he react? By blowing them a kiss.

Ozil can be seen turning his head towards the Tottenham crowd and aiming a kiss in their direction. Watch the video below.

The other funny part of the video is, of course, the Tottenham fan who rushes down from his seat to shout abuse at Ozil. Several stewards are onto him in a flash!

It’s good to see Ozil in a derby mood with his cheeky gesture.

Check out the response from Arsenal fans below.
