It’s a good thing Monday is a bank holiday because the celebrations around White Hart Lane this evening will be pretty wild.Tottenham Hotspur will finish above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years after beating the Gunners 2-0.Dele Alli and Harry Kane scored the goals in a win that provides further weight to the argument that the power in north London is shifting in Tottenham’s favour. The only negative for Spurs was Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Everton earlier on in the day, a win that might just have sealed the Premier League title. But still, Tottenham gave the fans something to celebrate in the final north London derby at White Hart Lane.“We obviously wanted to finish the last north London derby here on a high note and we did that,” Kane told Sky Sports after the match, per the Evening Standard. “We worked hard, we created the better chances.

“What a day! A great weekend for us.”

Outthought. Outfought. Outplayed.

It was an all-too familiar performance from the Gunners. Piers Morgan wrote on Twitter: “Outthought. Outfought. Outplayed,” and it’s hard to argue with the celebrity Arsenal fan.

Arsene Wenger’s side had an opportunity to boost their top four hopes, too, following Manchester United and Manchester City’s draws.

While Kane and Alli stepped up, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil went hiding.

Arsenal's horror stat

Perhaps the biggest inditement of Arsenal’s performance comes from a statistic provided by Goal reporter Chris Wheatley, who tweeted that Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs all lost possession 20 times each.

Each. Not in total. Twenty times each!

Sanchez was poor

Sanchez was mocked earlier in the week after he tweeted a photo of a swollen lip suffered in the win over Leicester City.

Everyone loved Robert Huth’s tweet trolling the Chilean.

One Spurs fan trolled Sanchez

Sanchez didn’t escape the mockery at White Hart Lane, either. One Spurs fan was caught on camera asking the forward: “How’s your lip mate? How’s your f****** lip?”

Check out the footage below.

Sanchez would have loved to have silenced the Tottenham supporters, but he simply didn’t show up.
